Leastupperbound - domestic tapes Vol. II

Leastupperbound - domestic tapes Vol. II

This album is one of the things that bring me back from my "Winter depression" for now i listened this over fifteen times at least.
Domestic tapes Vol. II is a seven tracks of calmness and reasoning. Music is not pressure and keep free space for a reasoning and thinking, this what i so much loved in this one. And the cover perfectly displays the mood of the music for me.

Scissors and Sellotape - For The Tired And Ill At Ease

Scissors and Sellotape - For The Tired And Ill At Ease

"A young lonely and abandoned man clamming on big cobbles surrounding completely dead ocean. He  know what he get nothing from this, but he still about clamming when stones become bigger and bigger..."

Scissors And Sellotape is the latest alias of john mccaffrey, aka Part Timer, whose work has previously appeared on Moteer, Mobeer, Flau labels.

This album is something very special for me. After the first listening i want to hide this treasure from world and be the one who can look into deep bending of this music. Thats sort of power it have!

This is charming tangle of piano, string, crumb of electronics and sometimes bass embedding with around calm soundscapes.

Sometimes i have a thought what this music has a own fluorescence which is not visible for human eye, but always favorable for ours souls.

Very difficult to describe this music, easier to talk about the taste of very old wine found at the bottom of a deep lake - you just need to hear this by yourself!

It will be a limited edition 180 gm virgin vinyl run with black inner sleeves that includes in the package a letter pressed CD of the music, 16 page photographic booklet, A2 poster that folds down and wraps around the letter press CD, 12 x 12 limited edition bespoke print on heavyweight card along with other quirky little inserts. It will all then be wrapped up in soft black tissue.

Robert Haigh - Notes And Crossings review + other Robert Haigh projects article

Robert Haigh - Notes And Crossings

Do you ever feel your memories? Memories thats does not exist? It's like deja vu. Or maybe is just a something you dream a several times but you always forget this on morning, but one time you wake up and  remember it feverishly like you never forget about it... Some times music can stir this memories and you feel something you can't explain.

Cinchel - Ritual Habitat

Cinchel - Ritual Habitat

Cinchel is a Jason Shanley, artist from chicago, United States.

Ritual Habitat is a three tracks postcard.

His music is mostly electronic with using experimental technique playing on electro guitar like bowed and etc.

The first track is kinda space and deep with sort of machine sounds and far away sound guitar.

The second track in the quickening pace guitar more loaded and a lots of bowed strings sounds.

The track number three is most interesting to me because i think artist made a great job to reproduce the sound of the night in electronic form. Best thing is to listen to this track on your player at night in the woods, but not loudly, but to be able to hear the sound of self steps. Very dark and creepy track.

release at feed back loop label August 2011

Kettel - Volleyed Iron

Kettel - Volleyed Iron

I listen this album when i was in road at 5AM and it's better for this moment. I listen and look in bus window on white from a hight fog field and smooth sun on horizon. the music is very good shows my mood point. My ming was a haze and still not wakeup enough.

Music made a beautiful gray world around me. But this is not the gray that is depressed, it's the gray that makes the work spirit and not the body.

Music flows on a dream river from unhurried piano play to in anxiety dreams with shadows and voices. Deeper and deeper into a mystic state and slowly come back and wakeup by telephone ringing.

Overall, a very inspiring and melancholy album.

Johnny Ripper - Soundtrack for a film that doesn't exist

Johnny Ripper - Soundtrack for a film that doesn't exist

Johnny Ripper is a young compositor from France.

Soundtrack for a film that doesn't exist is a very big album. A 31 track + 3 bonus tracks.

The style of his music easy to call a electro-acoustic, piano ambient.

Almost all tracks on album is a teany piano miniatures with using backwards effects and field records. This tracks are just charming and calming.

But second style of album is another story. I guess is may called a  jazz trip-hop or something similar to this.
Well i guess every person find some for you self from this album. Very fine and good-looking album.

Inner Place - Substratum (2011)

 Inner Place - Substratum

By now it's harder and harder to find a classic ambient, well maybe only in ethnics shops.

“Inner Place” Is the third music project of IX which has founded in the year 2011, “ Inner Place ” is ambient project, after IX’s work to projects ( Alphaxone, Spuntic, Altitude-X, Monolith Cycle ) .
“Inner Place” is an (ambient) music style. “ Substratum ” is the first album of “ Inner Place ” in 2011 which has composed and produced by IX.

This Project interested me even before release because im never listen net-label scene music from Iran, by this token i never hear any music from Iran until now.

Twelve fine electronics ambient tracks made me breathe deeply. Some time music is dramatical and sometimes is lovely.

Very deep underwater, very deep in space, very deep in soul.

Inner Place - Substratum released at SUBWISE net-label and available for free.

If you miss a good canonical ambient - this is for you.

Andrea Ferraris/Matteo Uggeri with Mujika Easel & Andrea Serrapiglio - Autumn is coming, we're all in slow motion

Andrea Ferraris/Matteo Uggeri with Mujika Easel & Andrea Serrapiglio - Autumn is coming, we're all in slow motion

Prologue:"...If someone ask me for describe this album by one word, that probably be a "fruitfulness"...

Imagine a picture as you go through hot and barren desert, and you're almost falling, exhausted by thirst and fatigue. But suddenly in front of you there is a wonderful and magical oasis which is like a cloud, where many fountains shed their water on the moss-covered with stone statues and platforms. There are a lot of people light up with happiness and under the same moment they were no longer visible, and only the memories that you see if you're right there.
"

Whole album will with perfect quality field records, and artist made a great job making it an indispensable part of the music because its mixing with melody just wonderful.
Instruments such as piano, acoustic guitar, accordion, cello, bells, ghost vocals is like a series of hourglass, which gradually spread in their grains melody and effects each other we have "Autumn Is Coming, We're All In Slowmotion".

Talvihorros - Descent Into Delta

Talvihorros - Descent Into Delta

Talvihorros is a one man project based in London by Ben Chatwin.

I very surprised what never discovered Ben's music before. And i already jealousy persons who been on the live show.

Descent Into Delta is a 5 track album.

Music enchants me with its shimmering melodies of post rock into lovely melodies and deep drones and then back to melodies and some sound i can't describe.

Working with analog recording devices of experimental and innovative guitar techniques, makes music something that influences positively on my mind. It is as if the music has waves that I only understand on an emotional level, but i can not understand this by my logic. And this abundance of music creates a mind for the lost memories and non-existent places that you yourself invented so long ago ...

Anyway, I'm sure this album will be a great event of this summer. Five stars!

Album Descent Into Delta coming up on Hibernate Records in august and be released on both vinyl and CD.

Strangelet - Peccant

Strangelet - Peccant

Strangelet also known as Filip Skubal from Brno, Czech republic.

Peccant is a four track ep released 2011 at Few Quiet People.

I wont to called this music a space drones, it's has a high-frequency waves and space pads but it to worm sound to me a "space" for me. His music creates a narrow space, which envelops you as you listen. One gets the feeling that the sound is recorded on a very old of experimental devices, electronics when in its infancy and was unusual. But is not only pads and drones, i definitely hear king a strings, bells and bowed guitar.

Shaula - Oneiroi

Shaula - Oneiroi

Shaula is a artist from Japan.
Sinse  2009 shaula whrite a few great album like Haze Non_rem_sleeps And Yona.

This albums is still somethere in top of my favorites. Shaula's music is so personal because it's really unusual sound but very beautiful at the same time. When you listen she's music all weather become a melancholic and all movement going around you begin to be slow mo.

The reason i review today single Oneiroi is because this the one Shaula release you can download totaly for free or if you want a flac you need to pay only 0.50 GBP.

Its very difficult to go into details of song or specific sound. I give you recomendation now you will made a your point of that.

Shaula - Oneiroi released 23 July 2010 on Audio Gourmet Netlabel

Good Weather For An Airstrike - A Summer (review)

Good Weather For An Airstrike - A Summer

Good Weather For An Airstrike is a Tom Honey artist from Winchester, UK

This is not my first meeting with gwfa, if you look at my few first reviews you will find my thought for gwfa ep called "A Winter".
The first thought came on my mind what "summer" is a artistic and meaningful extension of the "whinter".

One of the interesting features of the album is a titles for a song, it's looks random but is so much more.

Make sure you listening in order because every song crossing with long transition.

The intro of the album track "Solid Surroundings Feel Empty" starts with overload guitar (i guess) drones and others one half continuing with lovely chill guitar.
27610 welcome as with very soft and growing moby style strings, and featuring clatching noises like very shaggy vinyl, this noises going through next song called "Clouds Forming In The Lay By" it's very minimalistic with reverse guitar on forward, at the end of the track starting speeches from next theme called "The Beginning Of The Rest Of Our Lives (Revisited)" its definitely trip hop track with nice beat and electro piano chords.
The middle of the album "Twisted Knuckles" its like short piano intermission for album.
Second part of album starts with lovely and emotional drone track witch ended by sound of crickets. "The Beginning Of The Rest Of Our Lives (Reprise with Inachus)" is a like mixing drones and trip hop....
Drone "Light Shines Through The Cracked Window" like prelude for a longest track on album "The Sun Sets Over Us, And We Are Happy"
Outro track "The Method Was Slow And Probably Dangerous" is good to be Outro sound for me like a picture of end of the gig, when artists standing with guitar and lights it's slowly off...
